Indian Army Day 2024: Celebrating the courage and sacrifice

Indian Army Day is celebrated on January 15, every year with immense pride and gratitude towards our soldiers who laid their lives to protect the country. This year we are also celebrating the 76th anniversary of Indian Army commander in chief, Field Marshal Kodandera M Cariappa, who took rein against Britishers in 1949 and became the first leader of the Indian Army. We celebrate the sacrifice and courage of our soldiers to lay down their lives with pride. This day holds an important factor to remember those who martyred in wars.
This year, the celebration will be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. On this auspicious occasion, the parade will be led by Central Command of the Army in the presence of the Indian Army Chief. The Central Command is one of the seven groups although the previous year, the Southern Command had this charge of the parde in Bangalore, India.
Significance of Indian Army Day:
Indian Army Days is the most significant day for all the Indians as it carries a prolific amount of emotions and sacrifices of our soldiers. This day reminds us of the courage and introspection of our own existence. This day we tribute all the brave soldiers who dedicatedly sacrificed their lives to fulfil the commitment to the country. This day is dedicated to all the soldiers and their families who appreciate and encourage them to fight and win.
