Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse Updates: On Tuesday November 21, many rescuers released the first video footage of the workers who have been trapped inside Uttarkashi Silkyara tunnel for 10 days. Drilling was expected to be started the rescuers are beside silkyara to bring back the trapped workers.
An endoscopic camera has been sent through a 6-inch pipeline to know the condition which captured the whole scenario visuals. That footage of workers showed them donning yellow and white helmets. Delivered food has been received by them through the pipeline. Trapped workers were engaged in discussion with rescue teams. This act gave a sense of respite to the families of workers.
On Monday, the rescue team pushed inside the Silkyara-Barkot tunnel through a 6-inch pipeline and the rescue team supplied the food in larger quantities and some other essentials to the 41 workers.
NHIDCL Director Anshu Khalko, Director of NHIDCL, said that “we have sent the 53 metre pipe to the other side of the debris and now trapped workers can hear and feel our presence.” Earlier we had sent a 4-inch tube for food supply for instance; dry fruit and medicines, and now a 6-inch pipe can be used in a better way to send food items for instance; roti & sabji to the workers.
Avaneesh Mishra is the man on the ground, and talked to Dr. Abhishek Sharma, a psychiatrist appointed by government to keep an eye on the mental health of the workers to cope with the situation.
They are keeping an constant contact with them, and offering suggestions like Yoga, walking and encouraging conversation with each other to remain positive. Gabbar Singh Negi, a trapped worker & an oldest person among them who has been seen in a similar condition like before. Gabbar Negi gave us assurance that everyone will remain positive.

Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse – 21 November Update
On November 21, 2023, it is the 10th day of trapped workers at Uttarkashi site, Lt General Syed Ata Hasnain, member of the National Disaster Management Authority, said “Different Agencies- NDRF, ITBP, Army engineers, SDRF, Fire and Emergency services, BRO and other technical teams of government of India are working for them and providing them all the essentials.
There are also three to four international experts who have come to site to foresee the situation. The government of India gives assurance that we have experts and whenever we need them, they are available for help and it has been analysed that ample room is available there & ration, medicine and other essentials are being shoved through a compressor inside the space.
Statement of PM and CM on Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse
PM Modi gave assurance to CM of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday November 21, and said that rescued operation is being implemented to rescue the 41 workers trapped inside Uttarkashi’s Silkyara tunnel for 10 days. Dhami shared a post on platform X and tagged PM Modi in which he showed the gratitude and told that workers are safe.
Fourth time in a row, Modi bestows his assurance that safety of the trapped workers is the topmost priority right now. All those workers are safe inside the under construction with laden essentials at Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi.
