With every passing hour “the Congress Nyay Yatra of Assam” facing obstacles in Assam

Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, has been alleged to create obstacles for the congress party during the procession of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra as the yatra entered its fourth day in Assam on January 21, 2024.

Jairam Ramesh, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary, and Rahul Gandhi claimed that the public supporting the yatra are rattling at the CM who loses his mental balance over this commotion.

Nyay-Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi started travelling from January 18 to 25, plans to cover 833 km across 17 districts, commenced through the state of Manipur on January 14 and will culminate in the state of Maharashtra on March 20th.

In a press conference, Jairam Ramesh who is also representing this Congress Nyay Yatra of Assam with Rahul Gandhi said that the only problem we are facing is that the CM loses his mental balance when he hears the name of congress and Rahul Gandhi. There ‘s nothing else to say about it.

How was the chaos started while Yatra or road show:

He also claimed that Himanta Biswas seemed rattled from the first day of the Yatra in the state and he gathered public to function something in a purportedly manner and came forward to welcome us and clicked pictures with us.

Since we started Nyay Yatra in the state, he seemed disconcerted and rattled, also finding excuses or creating problems one after another. There was an FIR regarding route permission issues among others at Jorhat in Guwahati, stated Jairam Ramesh.

“I have to say this again that the first Bharat Jodo Yatra was conducted in four BJP-ruled states but there was not any major issue seen. And CM of any of the states hasn’t participated in Yatra as in Assam. It is the very first time when problems are being created every hour, no matter how trivial the matter is said the Congress leader.  

The Nyay Yatra and the chief organiser KB Byju had astonishingly ambushed with an FIR at Jorhat over alleged route impasse while Yatra passing through the town on thursday.

Yatra was scheduled to arrive at Guwahati on Tuesday, Congress has claimed that padyatra or road show has been denied for that route and an interaction with journalists of Guwahati Press Club has also been refused. Also, they claimed that the Yatra was allowed to proceed through a peripheral route, which is heading to the national highway bypass for the main city.

It needs to be addressed that either at the press club or somewhere else but Mr. Gandhi will communicate the issues we are facing on the national media on January 23 stated Ramesh. 

He also told that visit on the routes have been deviated and refusal to visit Guwahati Press Club, we have all the official invitation sent to Mr. Gandhi. But I don’t want to set anyone off in trouble. The reason why I don’t want to release it is that CM will unnecessarily go after them and create problems for them. He is in vindictive politics like our PM.

Urged to maintain the decorum 

Jairam Ramesh urged Himanta Biswas to be relaxed and let the congress complete the Yatra in a democratic way.

He said that he must focus to continue filling his repository. He is a “Kuber” (a rich person) now, and someday he will become a “super kuber” until the next elections come and people themselves will give him the reply, he added.
